What to plant in May
Gardners, can you believe it?! We are already in the middle of gardening season, and I feel like I have so much I need to get done! Majority of my herbs and plants are in the garden, but I still have a few left that I need to transplant if I want a beautiful harvest this season. So, if you haven’t done so already, here are a few things you can still plant in May:
Direct Sow (plant seeds right outside)
Bush beans, Pole beans (with trellis), Cucumbers, Squash (zucchini, yellow squash), Okra, Corn, Carrots (early May), Beets, Radishes, Swiss chard, Tomatoes (starter plants), Peppers, Eggplant, Sweet potatoes (slips).
Herbs to Plant in May: Herbs LOVE the warmer temps:
Basil (best planted now!), Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Dill, Parsley, Cilantro (early May before it gets too hot), Chives.
So Gardners, check your local garden center or other stores near you to transplant your veggies and herbs this season!
I hope you have a BLOOMING garden season!!
XOXO,
